Isa 53
4 Indeed, it was our infirmities bore, our sorrows, and we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
4 Indeed, it was our infirmities bore, our sorrows, and we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities, the punishment was on him, that we would have peace, and by his wounds we are healed.
"Indeed," this little word has it done to me. For the truth is the truth, it is true, believe it is true, then one could say it too.
"Truly" is also a call to believe the impossible. From God's perspective things look different, as we see it.
death of Jesus some 2000 years ago was no accident, but the punishment for our sins.
He wore them. For us. By itself. In order for our sake.
Now we have peace: Once in the heart, reconciled with God and man "redeemed.
Indeed!
